Product Introduction

1. Product Features and Application Range

The underground garage foam tank is a type of automatic water-foam combined fire extinguishing system. It is a modification based on the wet-type automatic sprinkler system with the addition of foam liquid supply device. The entire system is always on standby. Once the protected object catches fire, the system can rapidly spray foam to cover the protected area, prevent the spread of the fire, control the fire, and then use firefighting water to extinguish the fire and prevent re-ignition.

This system is mainly suitable for indoor flammable liquid fires or areas where flammable solids are stored, such as underground parking lots, aircraft maintenance hangars, chemical warehouses, production workshops, etc.

2. System Composition and Principle

The system mainly consists of water source, fire pump, wet-type alarm valve, water flow indicator, foam liquid storage tank, proportioning mixer, foam liquid control valve, closed sprinkler head, fire detector, control cabinet, end water test device, matching control valve and pipeline, etc.

4. Installation and Commissioning Operation Guide

A: Please follow the relevant regulations of the "Foam Fire Extinguishing System Construction and Acceptance Specification" for installation.
B: The foam tank should be placed horizontally at the position designated in the construction drawing. A 30 to 50 centimeter reinforced cement foundation should be made under the tank base, and fixed bolts should be pre-embedded or expansion screws should be used for fixing.

C: The proportioning mixer should be connected in the direction indicated by the water flow: the flange of the inlet end should be connected to the outlet of the wet-type alarm valve, and the flange of the mixed liquid outlet end should be connected to the corresponding protected area pipeline network. The check valve at the inlet should be connected to the foam liquid outlet valve of the foam tank.

D: The solenoid valve should be connected to the DC24V control line of the fire control system. When a fire occurs, the foam liquid control valve is opened by this control line.

5. Maintenance and Care

1. At least one appearance inspection should be carried out every month, and there should be no leaks at each valve and connection, and each valve should be in the designated position.

2. After each use, the storage tank and pipeline must be flushed with clean water, and the surface of the equipment should be painted and anti-corrosion treated if necessary.

3. The foam liquid should be kept away from direct sunlight and stored in a place with small temperature changes to prevent direct contact with air. When stored for a long time, a sample should be taken for testing. If it deteriorates, it should be replaced in time.

4. In standby mode, the foam tank must be filled with foam liquid.

6. Precautions:

1. The mixing ratio of the selected foam liquid should be the same as the mixing ratio of the foam proportioning mixer.

2. For water-soluble (polar) Class A, B, and C liquids, anti-soluble foam liquid must be used.

3. When filling the foam liquid, the capsule should be kept clean and not mixed with oil, water, or foam liquids of different brands. Foam liquid models cannot be mixed.

4. The foam proportioning device should not be used beyond the working pressure range.
