Overview:

The PHYM series tank diaphragm proportional mixing device (hereinafter referred to as the mixing device) produced by our factory has the characteristics of stable performance, wide applicable flow and pressure range, low pressure loss, etc. It can be combined with PFS type high-multiple foam generator, PZ type medium-multiple foam generator, PC type low-multiple foam generator, PQ type air foam gun or PP type foam cannon to form various high, medium and low-multiple foam fire extinguishing systems. The system has been widely used in fire protection systems in petrochemical enterprises, port terminals, oil depots, airports and other places.


1. Composition and classification:

The mixing device is the supply source of foam mixed liquid in the foam fire extinguishing system. It is generally composed of a foam liquid storage tank, a PHY type pressure proportional mixer, a water inlet pipeline, a liquid outlet pipeline, an exhaust pipeline, a drainage pipeline, a liquid discharge pipeline, a liquid level display tube, a pressure gauge and a safety valve, and each pipeline is equipped with a corresponding valve.

Mixing devices can be divided into two types according to the installation form: horizontal and vertical. They can also be divided into three types according to the internal structure: integral type, partition type and diaphragm type.


2. Working Principle

When the pressure water flows through the mixer pipeline, part of the water enters the storage tank through the water inlet pipe, and most of the water enters the nozzle of the proportioning mixer along the mixing pipeline and sprays toward the diffusion pipe. When entering the nozzle, the caliber is reduced and the flow rate is increased. Due to the lateral turbulent diffusion of the jet particles, a low-pressure mixing chamber is formed between the nozzle outlet and the diffusion pipe. The water entering the storage tank presses the foam liquid stored in the capsule out of the liquid outlet pipe, enters the low-pressure mixing chamber of the proportioning mixer through the orifice plate, and merges with the large pressure water flow flowing through the nozzle of the proportioning mixer to form a 3% or 6% foam mixture. The foam mixture is transported to the foam generating equipment to generate air foam for extinguishing Class A, B, and C liquid fires and solid fires such as wood, paper, and textiles.


3. Maintenance and precautions

1. Perform an appearance inspection at least once a month. There should be no leakage at each valve and each connection, and each valve should be in a closed state at ordinary times.

2. Check the foam liquid level and capsule leakage at least once a year. If the capsule is found to be damaged, notify the company promptly.

3. After each use, the pipe must be flushed with clean water.

4. If the device has paint peeling or rust on the surface after being stored for a long time, it should be repainted and treated with anti-corrosion.

5. The mixing device should be kept away from direct sunlight and stored in a place with small temperature changes to prevent direct contact with air.

6. When the foam liquid is stored for a long time, it should be sampled and inspected. If it becomes ineffective or deteriorates, it should be replaced in time.

7. When in standby mode, the storage tank must be filled with foam liquid.

8. The mixing ratio of the selected foam liquid should be the same as the mixing ratio of the proportion mixer in the mixing device.

9. The tank should be kept clean. The foam liquid must not be mixed with oil, water or foam liquid of different brands. The wrong type of foam liquid must not be used.

10. Do not use this mixing device beyond the working pressure range.
11. Please consult the foam liquid supplier regarding the validity period of the foam liquid. If it becomes expired or deteriorates, it should be replaced in time.
